Abstract
Objectives: to present clinical, paraclinical and anatomopatologic
characteristics of an uncommon retroperitoneal tumor.
Clinical case: descriptive study of a clinical case and literature
review, of a 45 years old male who began her sickness 2
years ago, characterized by the presence f abdominal tumor in
epigastrio, that grows slowly. Concomitant loss of weight, hiporexia
y abdominal pain. An abdominal ultrasound concludes
suprarenal tumor vs. renal tumor. Abdomen-pelvis tomography
reports extends injury of tumoral appearance heterogenic with
central hypodenses areas associate to dystrophic calcifications
and post contrasted raised that seem to be localized in left suprarenal
region generating displacement of left kidney, which conserve
its morphology and functionalism. Resection of the tumor was
made by a Chevron laparotomy and the anatomopathologic
report was retroperitoneal tumor: Malignant tumor of epithelial
stirpe with extended necrosis. Inmunohistochemical study concludes
adenoma, oncocitoma suprarenal. Patient with satisfactory
outcome, without evidence of tumor in eight months.
Conclusion: The oncocitoma is an uncommon entity which
diagnostic is made by anatomopathologic study of the surgical
piece. It could have benign and malign behavior. The treatment is
surgical resection.
