Abstract
Abdominal desmoid fibromatosis is a rare benign condition, even rarer in sporadic cases, such as the one described below. Its clinical presentation is highly variable, with intestinal subocclusion being common. Imaging tests such as CT and MRI are key to assessing tumor resectability, detecting complications and recurrence, and evaluating changes in morphology and response to treatment, although sometimes, as in our patient, a precise preoperative diagnosis is not achieved. Treatment should be multidisciplinary, but surgical resection remains a key factor.
